Network Solutions Review - Domains

If you have been involved in the internet for a long time, you probably are familiar with Network Solutions. They were they original domain name registration service and provided domains under a sub-contract with the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in September 1991.

Domain registrations costs about $100 for a two year term. Those prices all came down to what they are now when the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) was created in 1998 and opened up the domain name business to competition.

Today Network Solutions is still a domain registrar holding over 7 million domain names but also provides web hosting services too.
